「rise」和「raise」的用法有什麼區別？

Raise and rise as verbs are constantly confused even among native English speakers.

I will give an example and definition for each usage.

Raise

As a Noun (n.)

an increase in pay

I hope I get a raise this year.

the act of lifting part of the body using a weight

He can do 200 raises!

As a Transitive Verb (vt.)

moving something to a higher position

He raised his hand slowly.

collecting money or resources

We are raising money so we can volunteer in a rural area.

increasing the amount of sth.

They raised the registration fee again this year.

Rise

As a Noun (n.)

an increase in amount or number

With the rise of unemployment, fewer people are able to buy houses.

As an Intransitive Verb (vi.)

moving from a lower to a higher position

We watched the flag rise.

getting up (from sitting, lying, or kneeling)

She rose from her chair.

A common but confusing mistake is "I want to go to the flag rising ceremony."

It is should be "flag raising", because someone has to raise the flag.

Raise是及物動詞。

Rise 是不及物動詞。

rise和raise的區別，就如

「吃」和「喂」的區別。

Rise不及物

Raise及物

（使用不及物動詞的時候，如果後面要接對象，必須跟介詞）

具體例子：

在變形金剛2的開頭，在擎天柱問那位狂派：「any last words？」（還有遺言嗎？）

那位狂派說出了：「The fallen shall rise again.」（墮落金剛會再次崛起）
