「矯情」用英語怎麼說？

Melodramatic. 指在並非很有意義的場合下表現出過度誇張的情緒（時常是負面情緒），俗稱矯情。

drama queen是可以用來形容矯情的人的，是dramatic的最高級，指的是特別喜歡讓生活很戲劇化的人。其它答案中，bitch包含了「mean」的意思，而矯情這個詞不包含「人品差」這個特徵，所以bitch不準確。affectation指的是虛張聲勢，artifitial用來形容人是不太恰當的。

「你根本不為我考慮，」安娜閉起了眼睛，背順著牆滑下去，直到她坐到了地上。「吃了咖喱雞，口氣就會變得糟糕。」她縮起了雙腿，抱在胸前。「然後你就不想與我接吻了，然後你就不會愛我了。」說到這裡，安娜把頭埋進膝蓋里，委屈地哭了起來。

「我不是那個意思！」克里斯驚惶地扔下叉子，跑到牆角邊蹲下抱緊她。「我不是那個意思……」緊閉雙眼，克里斯的眼淚瞬間掉落在地上，像玻璃一般支離破碎。「請原諒我……」

「不，我不能。」安娜握緊了拳頭，承諾了她自己，這一次，她不會退讓。「請原諒我。」她像新生的竹子那樣站了起來，走向了大門。「再見了，克里斯。」

「不！安娜，不！」

隨著一聲響亮的關門聲，克里斯像漏氣的氣球一樣崩潰在了地上。

他輕輕地對自己唱起安娜最喜歡的歌。

「那鹹鹹的告別……沿海岸線終結……」

可見Melodramatic是一個比較嚴肅的詞，而且和矯情的意思也有一點點出入。

Bitchy也不好。

Bitchy是bitch的形容詞，直譯過來就是很婊，具有bitch的性質。然而中文裡說到婊自然可能想到綠茶婊，自然就想到了矯情等，然而英美澳加卻沒有這樣的隱意在裡面。

怎麼樣叫做Bitch？怎麼樣叫做Bitchy？

Bitch就是令人感到不爽（unpleasant）的女人，通常包括但不限於愛抱怨、不遵守公德等等。

而符合以上的就可以形容之為bitchy。

所以你可以稱一切令你不爽的行為bitchy，就跟你可以稱令你不爽的女人婊子，但就不必然有矯情的意思在裡面了。

這點非常贊同。其實並不是沒有一個英語單詞都有準確對於的漢語。像矯情這個詞的確意思很多。這不是因為漢語英語孰優孰劣，而是更多是因為詞語本身的特性。

補充幾個

Affected Pretentious 這兩個是最接近的。這兩個都有Attempted to impress（試圖引人注目）的含義。

Chessy 這個也是很接近的很好用的一個詞，與其他不同的是，cheesy這詞算小詞，很口語化，所以和漢語下使用矯情的情況更接近。

Contrived 通常指創作出來的

Pose 指為了給別人一種假象而假裝

Inauthentic 直譯不真實，意思包括矯情但大於矯情

Grandiose 通常指形式和外觀

簡直沒看見過更合適的，我覺得和最高票的詞的顯著區別在於，melodramatic是外在的，然而mawkish是內在的，而很多矯情不是那麼明顯的表現出來，而在於夜深人靜的時候默默流淚。。你說她dramatic？我覺得不合適。。
