為什麼 Apple 不去掉 Mac 鍵盤 Return 按鍵上的「enter」和 Option 按鍵上面的「alt」？

蘋果定義的 enter 和 return 是不一樣的，為什麼要去掉？

Mac 鍵盤上的「return」在 PC 鍵盤上叫做「Enter」。「Return」和「Enter」在命名上有什麼故事背景？哪個命名更合理？為什麼？

而且蘋果鍵盤的邏輯很統一。enter 是放在上層的，就和輸入符號一樣，shift + return 就是上層的 enter。

至於為什麼@Li Natt兄的帶數字鍵盤的全尺寸鍵盤上面就沒有 enter，因為在小鍵盤上已經有 enter 了。在沒有小鍵盤的蘋果藍牙鍵盤和筆記本鍵盤上，還是有 enter 的。

至於 alt ，先看看 alt 是幹嘛的。

Since the 1990s, "alt" typically appears on the key, as well, for use as an Alt key with non-Mac software, such as Unix and Windows programs. However, the Option key in a Mac operating system functions differently from the Alt key under otherUnix-like systems or Microsoft Windows. Most notably, it is not used to access menus or hotkeys, but is instead used as a modifier for other command codes, and also to provide easier access to various accents and symbols. In this regard, it is akin to the AltGr key, found on some IBM-compatible PC keyboards.

看起來 alt 有兩個主要作用。1，某些程序里需要這個功能鍵。2，用於輸入特殊符號。

相對的 Option 的主要作用則是用於菜單和功能組合鍵。看似兩者可以合併，但是原因1值得注意。

我個人對於 terminal （命令行）的使用比較初級。但是，alt (meta key) 在 bash 下依然是有其特殊含義的，出於這個原因，alt 似乎也沒理由去掉。

10/29/13 修改：根據上文的wiki，Opt 本來的主要作用是用於輸入特殊字元，其次是和Command 配合使用（這是現在的常用用途了）

其實我的再看下這個問題，正因為Opt 和 Alt 作用相近，它們已經被合併在一個鍵位上了，就不要連他們的存在都剝奪了吧，畢竟有些程序里他們或許還能用得到。
