美國音樂學院中「作曲理論」（四大件）課程使用較多的教科書都有哪些？

管弦樂法用 Samuel Adler 的《管弦樂法研習》（The Study of Orchestration）；

和聲則是用 Burstein 的這本：Concise Introduction to Tonal Harmony；

曲式分析用 William Caplin 的 Analyzing Classical Form: An Approach for the Classroom；

復調用 Thomas Benjamin 的 The Craft of Modal / Tonal Harmony，總共兩本書。

P.S.: 除非你非常喜歡閱讀長篇的英文正文描述，否則 Laitz 的那本教材不適合作為工具書來使用。

P.P.S.: Horton Ritchey 的《Harmony Through Melody》是大坑…不要考慮就對了。我曾經嘗試將我用過的這套教材拿到 eBay 上以 1USD 起拍，拍了三個月都沒人來買。如果你真要考慮這套的話，你還不如選 Laitz 的那本。但這又回到我上文的陳述了。

我曾經谷歌很多小時去找好的教材，翻了reddit，goodreads，talkclassical，quora，abrsm很多地方，也看到很多在職老師和在校學生的推薦，基本上他們用的是這些：

1.和聲

The Complete Musician: An Integrated Approach to Tonal Theory, Analysis, and Listening -- Steven G. Laitz goodreads上35人評價，4.11分；美區亞馬遜29人評價，4.5星(第三版）。15年底出到第四版了。通讀過第三版，確實很全面，包括對位與曲式的基礎內容，習題也很好。作者非常牛，先後當過伊斯曼和茱莉亞的樂理系主任

Harmony And Voice Leading -- Carl Schachter Edward Aldwell goodreads上61人評價，3.9分；美區亞馬遜15人評價，4星。1979年第一版，已經出到第四版了，看過的都說是最經典的voice leading教材，我也正在讀。

Harmony -- Walter Piston goodreads上164人評價，4.1分；美區亞馬遜42人評價，4星。這本書也夠經典了，不過很多人吐槽它太陳舊。

Theory of Harmony -- Arnold Schoenberg goodreads上352人評價，4.31分；美區亞馬遜39人評價，4.5星。這本大名鼎鼎，不消多說，但是很多評論認為勛老爺子寫得太主觀，用這本當教材的大學不多。

對位的書太多太雜，，，直接列幾個經查證的確有些學校在用的吧，，

Counterpoint in Composition: The Study of Voice Leading -- Felix Salzer

Study of Counterpoint: From Johann Joseph Fux"s Gradus Ad Parnassum 很誇張的一本書，亞馬遜上62人共評了5星，goodreads上731人評了4.16分。只有160頁，相當基礎。可能是最重要的一本對位教材。

The Principles and Practice of Modal Counterpoint -- Douglass Green

A Practical Approach to Sixteenth/Eighteenth-Century Counterpoint -- Robert Gaudlin 這一共是兩本書

The Study of Fugue -- Alfred Mann

3.配器

The Study of Orchestration -- Samuel Adler goodreads上380人評價，4.23分；美區亞馬遜85人評價，4星（第三版）。這是一般用得最多的那一本，大家都講到了。不過去年6月第四版出來以後，amazon上5個人共評了2.5星，主要是關於隨書網站的付費問題，，

Essential Dictionary of Orchestration --Dave Black Tom Gerou goodreads上29人評價，4.21分；美區亞馬遜58人評價，4.5星。98年的老書了，優點是超級便宜！！！！！才10刀！！！！10刀！！！

Orchestration? -- ?Walter Piston 翻了一下，講的不夠詳細。。算了老爺子都死了40年了。。

4.曲式

曲式是被討論得最少的（笑）因為大多數情況下曲式不單獨列為一門課，，所以，，

和聲一般用Laitz的The Complete Musician或者Kostka Payne的Tonal Harmony.

配器一般用Samuel Adler的The Study of Orchestration.

復調和曲式一般各個老師自己選各自的了，好像沒有一個特別主流的。

曲式分析是LS提到的ANALYZING CLASSICAL FORM: AN APPROACH FOR THE CLASSROOM(這本真不錯，基本的曲式都很詳細的講解了）

配器是THE STUDY OF ORCHESTRATION BY SAMUEL ADLER
