我的理解是這首歌是主要講男主人公的 他曾經膽小懦弱又過於理智 女主多次請求暫時不要讓她離開 但由於男主過於理智 既不願對女主敞開心扉又不願看到女主不斷的付出 只得不斷催促女主離開他 女主自然理解不了男主真實的想法 以為是她讓男主討厭了 或是怕了 經過反覆的思想鬥爭最終決定離開 而後也終於放下了男主 明白了男主只是她生命長河中的一段急彎 峰迴路轉男主終於明白百丈紅塵中的我們註定只是平平凡凡的普通人 我們能做的只是自己 我們不是先知 不必要那麼理智 對待感情多數只能用感性

《Write About Love》（歌曲所收錄的專輯）美國開出了Belle Sebastian成軍14年來最佳成績：告示牌Top 15（上張可是Top 65，跳了五十名）。 或許也與諾拉瓊斯脫不了關係，她借出她的爵士嗓子，在〈Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John〉敘述一個愛作白日夢的女孩，怨歎找不到像Lou Reed、Jack Kerouac、John Lennon般的才情男友；不過和她在錄音室面對面合唱的Stuart，可不正是那款角色嗎？ 然而BS並非企圖轉型，做起爵士專輯來（雖然他們很有潛力），《Write About Love》仍是正規的純情花草樂，害羞的讓人想躲起來聽，續用前作《The Life Pursuit》製作人Tony Hoffer（曾監製Beck / The Kooks / The Thrills），添了不少爽神效果器。
