Why do you want to work here?
Why should we hire you?
Job Interview Questions and Best Answers
1 About Careers About.com
2 The Workplace Stack Exchange
Why do you want to work here?
Why should we hire you?
OK, First of all. It』s my great honor to be
given this great opportunity to talk with you here. As you can see on the
resume, My English name is XXX, I majored in XXXXX in university. Ever since I graduated from university in XXXX, I
have worked for 3 companies, in my current company, I have been working as a technical engineer in engineering department since
XXXXX. Almost X years, in brief, My main work responsibility is to
provide technical support for the whole manufacturing process of our product. As
you can see the detailed information in the job description of my resume.
Then, a little bit about me personally, I think
I am a kind of perfectionist, I always focus on the details, and like to be
sure that everything is just right.
Besides, I am very positive, open minded,
hardworking, I am also a good team player and with high sense of responsibility
when it comes to my work.
Lastly, I 『d like to talk about the reasons why
I want to change my job, you know, after working in my current company for
nearly X years, I found myself
kind of bored with my job and the
environment, plus, there is not development space for my career, most
importantly, I have always been looking for a big international company where I
can communicate and progress with many talented people from all of the world. Just
a few days ago, I was recommended this position by the headhunter, I read the
JD carefully and searched some information regarding your company in the
internet, and I found that it is a great global company which has always been
committed to do sth…….. It is exactly what I am looking for. Moreover, I think maybe
I am a good fit for this position because of my qualification, my similar
experience and the skills developed in my current company. So maybe it is the right
time for me to move on to a new challenge. So I am here today. Thank
you.
Interview questions center around: 1) your character, 2) achievements, 3) skills you are working on improving, 4) past failures and lessons and 5) critical thinking skills also called scenario analysis. There are many sample questions which can be found on the internet. You do not want to try to memorize answers as that is apparent to an interviewer and suggests an inflexible mindset. Better to be prepared to answer a broad range of categories such as the ones I mentioned above. Remember interviewers many be meeting numerous candidates over hours and hours and so will want to choose from a diverse set of questions to keep the sessions interesting and really test individuals" capacities to think quickly and flexibly.
Seriously consider investing in yourself by hiring a professional experienced interview coach who is a native speaker. The service is usually affordable and in a few hours you can work together to reduce nervousness, learn how to answer difficult questions and address any unusual or trouble spots on your resume. It is a smart use of money if you are reaching for your next critical job opportunity in a long term career.
Best of luck with your future interviews!

很多公司跟組織在僱傭的時候都會標出Australian citizen only或是 permanent resident only。

當你展示你的背景時,不要under or over qualification,只展示僱主需要的。

Can I instead just show you? I prepared a short presentation on this.

Hey guys! I"m a online English conversational teacher and I offer one on one interview preparation sessions including resume/CV editing services. I have also personally gone through many interviews myself in Canada and would like to share some of my tips here:
My number one advice is BE YOURSELF! I know it might sound like a cliche useless expression, but trust me, it"s more important than you think! I have been hired a number of times simply because the employer liked me, even when I didn"t meet a lot of the technical qualifications!
This was something I had to learn myself too, and through the years I came to realize 2 things
1) Anyone can google "how to ace an interview" and vomit the generic answers back up in their interview word for word. And employers KNOW when you give a generic answer.
2) Skills are trainable, attitude is not. Employers rather hire someone they like as a person and have great potentials than someone with all the technical skills but are a bore to talk to.
That is why, it"s so important to go into an interview not with a generic script memorized. Know yourself goes beyond "what"s your strength?" "what"s your weakness". When I train my clients for an interview coming up, I teach them how to turn "tell me about your favourite childhood memory" into an answer that screams "hire me! I"m the perfect candidate!" To be brief, the key is to understand that each job is unique, thus so should your answers.
