一、Pantone公司簡介 Pantone公司是一家以專門開發和研究色彩而聞名全球的權威機構和供應商,於1963年由Lawrence Herbert創辦,並在2007年被X-Rite收購。Pantone的配色系統已經延伸到色彩佔有重要地位的各行各業中,如平面印刷,紡織品製造等等。在Pantone公司旗下,有一個專門研究色彩的機構叫做Pantone Color Institue(PCI)。PCI致力於色彩流行趨勢的預測和色彩對於人類思維、感情等的影響。
二、Pantone年度色彩的意義 從2000年開始,Pantone Color Institue每年都會指定一款色彩來表達這一年正在發生的全球時代精神。這樣的年度色彩是一種能在世界範圍內產生共鳴的顏色,既是對於人們的期望的反映,也能夠通過色彩的力量去幫助人們得到他們感到需要的。是否是當年度最流行時髦的顏色並不重要,但年度色彩必須能夠貫穿所有設計領域,站在消費者的立場上表達一種心情,一種態度。
