IBM放棄諮詢業務了嗎？還是只是合併部門？

+ We are creating a single IBM Global Industries organization, with the mission for industry strategy and engagement across IBM, bringing together all our industry expertise from GBS and SD.

+ We are establishing a single, integrated Cognitive Solutions Team, to provide clients with industry-focused repeatable offerings across the spectrum of analytics and cognitive, as they digitize their businesses, with emphasis on a core set of

high-growth industries primed for cognitive transformation. The Industry Solutions Sales Teams will focus on complex/custom industry solutions.

In cloud platforms

+ We are integrating IBM middleware into IBM Cloud, where it will be the heart of hybrid. We will continue to cloud-enable all of our current middleware, solutions and services. And throughout the coming year, we will make additional high-value cloud services directly callable by our on-premises software products.

+ We will accelerate and continue building the premier cloud stack and developer environment.

+ At the same time.IBM Systems will focus on designing，developing and delivering leading-edge software, servers and storage built for a hybrid cloud model.

原先的GBS和SD部門合併為IBM Global Industries organization。從部門名稱可以看出，還是做的是行業解決方案的事情。IBM就是為企業提供服務的，提供的內容無非就是圍繞這幾個點，Products，Solutions and Services，不可能沒有諮詢業務。
